McArthur visits Loganair Glasgow HQ
Orkney’s MSP Liam McArthur has today visited Loganair’s Glasgow HQ to meet with senior management as well as key staff working across customer support, engineering and flight operations.
Mr McArthur discussed recent communication issues, ticket pricing, and changes to the Kirkwall flight timetables.
Commenting after the visit, Mr McArthur said:
“It was useful to have the opportunity to visit the Loganair operation in Glasgow today, having been in frequent communication with senior management on a number of issues over many months.
“Having received assurances from Loganair on their commitment to improve communications following the period of extreme weather disruption earlier this year, I was glad to meet with customer support team to discuss these matters further today.
“The visit provided an opportunity to reiterate my ongoing concerns about ticket pricing levels, and hear about efforts to try to make tickets as affordable as possible.
“I was also able to highlight the impact that the consolidation of the Orkney and Shetland services is having, as well as the decision to no longer overnight the Edinburgh aircraft in Kirkwall. Loganair agreed to look at options for increasing the length of the day for those travelling down to the central belt.”
