McArthur supports Macmillan Coffee Morning

Liam McArthur, Orkney's MSP, is encouraging people in Orkney to raise a cup or enjoy a cake in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support's annual Coffee Morning on 25 September. 

He recently joined Macmillan Cancer Support in the Scottish Parliament to raise awareness of the charity's upcoming Coffee Morning, which aims to raise vital funds to support people living with cancer and their families. 

Mr McArthur met with Head of External Affairs, Kate Seymour during the event to discuss the charity's work across the UK. He is now encouraging individuals, community groups and businesses in Orkney to host their own Coffee Mornings throughout the month of September.

"Whether through helping patients understand their treatment options or providing them with access to 1 to 1 emotional support, this charity is a real lifeline for people who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis. 

"The annual Coffee Morning gives us a reason to put the kettle on for a good cause, and it's easy to get involved. Every pound raised will go a long way toward ensuring Macmillan can continue to deliver this vital support to those who need it."
