McArthur: R100 programme delivery plan gives “cause for concern”

Orkney’s MSP Liam McArthur has voiced concern over delays in the Scottish Government’s programme for delivering high speed broadband to 100% of properties across Scotland. The Minister for Energy, Connectivity and the Islands, Paul Wheelhouse, has admitted in response to a Parliamentary Question that the tendering process for delivering the so-called R100 programme will only be complete by the end of 2019, a full two years after it was first launched.
