10th Anniversary of the UHI Student Development Fund

That the Parliament welcomes the 10th anniversary of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) Student Development Fund; acknowledges that the fund has supported over 400 students with grants totalling over £165,000; believes that it has been crucial in enabling UHI students based in rural and island areas, who may face significant financial challenges due to additional travel costs, to have the same opportunities as those in less remote areas; considers that these opportunities help to provide a more well-rounded and valuable experience, helping to enhance students' personal development and build on their knowledge; believes that, because of this, it is vital that the students do not miss out on such opportunities; congratulates the university for encouraging students to take advantage of this funding; pays tribute to everyone who has generously donated to the fund over the years, which it believes has helped contribute to its longevity and success, and hopes that many more students will continue to benefit from this important funding stream for many more years.
